University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) in Las Vegas is seeking a hospital billing professional to manage claims, follow-up, denials, and ultimate account resolution. The role requires a strong understanding of insurance, government payer processes, and patient billing workflows.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with at least 2 years of hospital billing experience and be proficient in Excel and EPIC EHR.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school graduation and two (2) years of hospital and/or physician clinic billing and/or follow-up experience.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience (within 3 years) of hospital claims and follow up experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital billing denials and appeal experience in account follow-up.

Responsabilités

• Bills insurance companies, governmental agencies and individual patients.
• Follow-up on open accounts; resolve payment problems; finalize accounts.
