Job summary

Geode Health is seeking a Patient Account Representative to resolve inbound patient billing inquiries in a multi-channel Contact Center environment. Expected Pay Range: $20 - 22/hour, with standard office duties and HIPAA compliance to protect patient information.

Reporting to the Patient Accounts Team Lead, the role emphasizes accurate resolutions, workload management, and strong communication with patients and insurance carriers in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a healthcare environment required.
• Ability to read and understand insurance EOBs.
• Must possess strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to multi-task while maintaining the highest-level of quality in every patient interaction.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor multi-channel inbound patient billing inquiries to ensure timely response and accurate resolutions.
• Work with patients and insurance carriers to resolve patient billing inquiries.
• Responsible for maintaining individual and departmental goals including Average Handle Time, Service Level, Abandonment Rate, Call Quality, and others.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information with a full understanding of HIPAA requirements.
• Demonstrates flexibility to meet the needs of all internal and external customers including changes to workflows, work volume and work schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
