Job summary

Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, seeks a Manager of Patient Accounts to lead the revenue cycle for its Multi-Specialty Clinics. The role directs scheduling, registration, billing, collections, cash application, and provider credentialing while coordinating with University Administration to meet financial goals and ensure HIPAA/HiTech compliance.

Applicants will oversee staff development, budgets, audits, and continuous improvement projects to maximize reimbursement and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• 5-7 years of revenue cycle experience in an integrated clinic environment.
• 5-7 years of management experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD9/ICD10, HCPCS codes and CMS 1500 claim form.
• Proficiency with MS Office, EHR, payer websites, and clearinghouses.

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate clinic patient scheduling, registration, cashiering, refunds to patients and third parties, billing/collection activities, cash application, and provider insurance credentialing.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines and payer contracting agreements.
• Lead and develop patient accounts staff; manage audits, budgets, and month-end reporting.
• Promote excellent customer service and education of clinical staff on billing, coding, and documentation changes.
