Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative II for a hybrid role. You will perform billing and collections for patient accounts, with initial submission of third-party payer claims and follow-up on others.

The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in the Corporate Professional Billing department. Strong knowledge of billing systems, office software, and medical terminology are required.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years' experience with insurance billing and/or claims follow up in a hospital or medical office.
• Proficiency with basic software and billing terminology; knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD/CPT/HCPC coding; strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

Performs billing or collection activities for Patient Accounts. Responsible for initial submission of third party payer claims, or follow-up and collection of third party payer claims, self pay accounts or legal/liability/workers compensation accounts. Uses a variety of electronic systems in the course of this work.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Two (2) - Three (3) years' experience with insurance billing and/or claims follow up in a hospital business office, physician's office, or insurance billing environment or relevant experience in use of billing and claims knowledge.
• Must have computer literacy and math aptitude, and the ability to use 10-key calculator, computer key board and basic software applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD/CPT/HCPC coding.Good oral and written communication skills
