Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative II for a hybrid role. You will perform billing and collections for patient accounts, with initial submission of third-party payer claims and follow-up on others.

The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in the Corporate Professional Billing department. Strong knowledge of billing systems, office software, and medical terminology are required.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years' experience with insurance billing and/or claims follow up in a hospital or medical office.
• Proficiency with basic software and billing terminology; knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD/CPT/HCPC coding; strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs billing or collection activities for Patient Accounts.
• Submits third party payer claims and follows up on claims.
• Manages self-pay, legal/liability, and workers' compensation accounts.
• Uses multiple electronic billing systems.
