Kids for the Future is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Accounts Representative – Level I to join our healthcare administration team in El Paso, TX. You will support revenue cycle operations by processing records, ensuring accuracy, and delivering quality service to internal and external partners.

This part-time role requires strong computer skills (Word, Excel), sharp organizational abilities, and clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

  • Documentation handling with paper and electronic filing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential medical and employment records per policy.
  • Scan and file medical records electronically and in paper form.
  • Review billing records and monitor outstanding requests; process corrections.
  • Review pending records or requests and follow up with management.
  • Send faxes on request and submit patient reports to facilities on schedule.
  • Assist with customer mailings such as medical claim packets.
  • Provide timely reports for management as requested.
  • Operate office machines (copy, fax, postage, adding machine, calculator).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Patient Accounts Manager.

Description
  • Maintains confidential medical and employment records according to company compliance plan and established policies.
  • Scans medical records into electronic filing locations and filing paper records as required.
  • Reviews billing records and returning items that need correction. Monitors outstanding requests and following up with Medical Operations management. Processes corrections as needed.
  • Review reports of pending records or requests for completion and follow up with management.
  • Sends faxes upon request
  • Submit patient reports to receiving facilities on schedule and upon demand.
  • Assists, as directed, with preparation of customer mailings such as medical claim packets.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports for management as requested
  • Operates business office machines such as copy machine fax machine, postage machine and computer, adding machine, calculator, and stapler.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Patient Accounts Manager or other members of the administrative team.
Requirements

The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:

  • Cheerful presence and people skills
  • Technologically literate with strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and other commonly used software. Access Database skills would be a plus.
  • Good internet skills, including use of e-mail programs and group messaging
  • Good organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical)
  • Documentation handling including paper and electronic filing
  • Good Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public and other employees.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the job for an entire workday.
