Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co‑workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes and resolve issues related to the follow‑up and collection of medical accounts for institutional and professional encounters; review notes and take appropriate actions to resolve each encounter.
• Meet a minimum daily work standard of 60 encounters per day, including processing adjustments, correspondence, and patient requests.
• Use a variety of communication methods (phone, e‑mail, internet, regular mail) to engage with payors and resolve account issues.
• Explain payor items such as interpretation of payment remittances, professional charge processing, and in‑ or out‑of‑network benefits; understand different payor reimbursement methodologies.
• Pursue all reimbursement avenues until claims are satisfactorily worked.
• Adhere to Corporate Compliance and HIPAA standards.
• Attend departmental team meetings and communicate training needs to supervisor.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision and exhibit high motivation.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
