Job summary

Universal Health Services Georgia Business Center in Dunwoody is seeking a Patient Account Representative/Collector to handle billing, follow-up, and collections for assigned patient accounts. You will contact patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve balances and may work with collection agencies for bad debt recovery.

The on-site role requires analyzing accounts for correct insurance payments based on contracts and patient responsibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year experience in health care collections or related field.
• Experience with insurance billing and computer/business software (Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide account and billing information to patients, insurance companies and/or collection agencies
• Control collection efforts of accounts in an organized, professional, and efficient manner
• Analyze accounts to determine correct insurance payment based on contract rate and patient's share.
• This is an on-site/in-office position.
