Guidehouse Inc. is seeking a Patient Account Representative - Patient Collections (Bilingual Spanish) in El Segundo, CA. This role involves calling patients and insurance companies to resolve account balances and requires adherence to client policies.

The position offers a hybrid work model, with two days in the El Segundo office and three days remote, typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM PT. The ideal candidate has 0–2+ years in healthcare, insurance, or customer service, and is proficient in English

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent in lieu of diploma/GED.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• 0–2+ years working within healthcare, insurance, business, finance, call center or customer service.
• Knowledge of insurance claims, billing, coding, follow-up, finance, accounting or customer service related responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Representatives are responsible for taking in-coming and making out-going calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve account balances.
• All client policies and procedures are followed.
• Representatives will perform any and all job-related duties as assigned.
• This position offers a hybrid schedule working two days in our El Segundo, CA office and three days virtually from home.
• 8 hour shift between 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PT.
• Handle incoming and outbound calls with soft collections.
• Perform patient account reviews and update demographics.
• Respond to patient inquiries by phone and mail and resolve balances prior to turning accounts over to collection agencies.

What You Will Do:

• The Patient Account Representative - Patient Collections (Bilingual Spanish) is an extension of a client's business office staff.
• Representatives are responsible for taking in-coming and making out-going calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve account balances.
• All client policies and procedures are followed.
• Representatives will perform any and all job-related duties as assigned.
• This position offers an attractive hybrid schedule working two days in our El Segundo, CA office and three days virtually from home.
• 8 hour shift between 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PT.
• This position is for an agent who will be receiving incoming calls and making outbound calls with soft collections.
• Heavy outbound & inbound calling.
• Patient Collections.
• EOB knowledge.
• Account Review.
• Customer Service.
• Account Updates.
• Strong Verbal / Written Communication Skills.
• Complete all business-related requests and correspondence from patients.
• Minimum call requirement for self-pay representatives is 75 calls a day.
• Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
• Assist client and patients in all requested tasks.
• Communicate to Guidehouse management areas of concern or areas of improvement.
• Research and respond to all patient inquiries received by telephone and mail.
• Update patient demographic information and initiate account adjustments.
• Try to resolve account balances to zero prior to accounts being forwarded to an outside agency for collections.

What You Will Need :

• High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent in lieu of diploma/GED.
• Bilingual Spanish Required.
• 0-2+ years working within the following sectors: healthcare, insurance, business, finance, call center or customer service.
• Working knowledge can be of the following: insurance claims, billing, coding, follow-up, finance, accounting or customer service related responsibilities.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

• Customer service skills / customer service experience.
• PC skills in a Windows environment.
• Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel.
• Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
• EOB knowledge strongly preferred.
• Understanding of healthcare software.

The annual salary range for this position is $38,000.00-$63,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
