Prime Healthcare in Plano, TX is seeking a Patient Account Registrar for a temporary, days shift. You will collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information, ensure eligibility, and support the Admitting team.
Responsibilities include interviewing patients, verifying benefits and authorizations, entering data in computerized systems, communicating with patients across ages, and assisting with reception and PBX tasks.

We are seeking aPatient Account Registrar,sometimes referred to as aHospital Admission Representative. The Patient Account Registrarcollects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained.The Patient Account Registrarcollaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.
1. Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Customer Services experience required
7. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)
