Responsibilities

• Interviews patients or representatives to obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Secures eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Works with Admitting department, PBX and reception areas.
• Operates computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicates with patients using age-appropriate techniques.
• Maintains proficiency in medical terminology.
• Performs special projects with deadlines as assigned.
