Harlingen Medical Center is seeking a part-time Admitting Representative in Harlingen, TX to support patient intake and insurance verification on 12-hour shifts (days/nights). You will interview patients, verify benefits, enter data, and assist the Admitting department with front-desk duties in a busy hospital environment.

We value clear communication, accuracy, and the ability to multitask across systems. Previous hospital admissions experience is preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

• Clear written and verbal communication essential.
• Experience in customer service within a hospital setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with hospital admissions processes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.

• Customer Services experience required.
• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)
