Schedule:
  • Full-time position that requires one mid/evening shift per week, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, from 11am to 9pm CST.
  • One Saturday per month, hours between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Account Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for outbound calls, account follow-up, and resolution of patient receivables, providing excellent customer service. This is a work-from-home role; residence within an HCA hospital market area is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Refer calls/accounts to appropriate parties based on inquiries. Spend 90% of your day on the phone.
  • Identify problem accounts and escalate as needed.
  • Update patient account records with actions taken.
  • Work with patients and guarantors to secure payment on outstanding balances.
  • Maintain minimum production standards and achieve quality review scores.
  • Work within attendance guidelines and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate professionally with team members and management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Call center experience preferred.
  • Minimum one-year healthcare-related experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare revenue collections is a plus.
  • High-speed internet (25 MB download, 15 MB upload) required; Wi-Fi not permitted.
  • Ability to work without interruption during shifts.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
