Job summary

Los Angeles LGBT Center seeks a Patient Account Biller to support the Billing Team under the Billing Manager. You will handle charge entry, payments, and account reconciliations, and follow up on claims to maximize reimbursement.

The role requires knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 codes, reimbursement processes, and experience with AllScriptsPM. This is a full-time, on-site position in Los Angeles with union benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology.
• Ability to understand reimbursement and denial codes.
• Proficiency with Excel for spreadsheet work and data entry.
• Experience using AllScriptsPM or similar billing systems.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Charge entry, payment entry, and cash reconciliation.
• Generate and send patient statements and notices.
• Monitor insurance assignments and follow up on claims.
• Manage denial issues and communicate outcomes.
• Respond to billing inquiries and document in the system.
• Attend department meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
