Job summary

Intermountain Health in Colorado is seeking a Patient Account Rep II to provide professional service while managing insurance claims and receivables. You will review aging reports, resubmit corrected claims and appeals, and perform thorough follow-up to maximize reimbursements.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1+ year of medical billing experience, CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of full cycle medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and modifiers is required.
• Ability to read Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Basic understanding of debits/credits in accounting.
• Experience with insurance claim appeals is required.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with electronic remittances.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance aging reports and identify issues.
• Resubmit and work corrected claims and appeals.
