Baptist Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Accommodations Coordinator - Room Reservations to help optimize bed usage and patient flow. The role includes a 7A-7P shift once weekly and three additional evening shifts with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include managing bed allocations, coordinating with multiple departments, and maintaining current bed availability to facilitate admissions, transfers and discharges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of medical office or related experience required.

Summary

Patient Accommodations Coordinator - Room Reservations

Part-time, day shift. One 7A-7P shift per week and two 6hr evening shifts. Rotating every third weekend (dayshift). Participation in the holiday rotation (dayshift ).

Manage and optimize the allocation of hospital beds to ensure efficient patient flow, maximize bed utilization, and facilitate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges. Maintain real-time bed availability information, coordinating bed assignments, and communicating with various departments to streamline patient movement within the hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of medical office or related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare related field preferred.
• Previous experience in hospital services and medical insurance preferred.
