Qualifications

• Three to five years admitting and/or financial counseling preferred.
• Ability to interview patients and collect personal and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and relatives to collect personal and financial information needed for admission/registration.
• Verify insurance benefits and document verification in the system.
• Perform admitting/registration activities accurately and timely.
• Explain estimated financial responsibilities and collect upfront payments.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal collection laws.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and clinical staff to optimize processes.
• Maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
