Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is offering a Patient Access Trainee program designed to prepare you for customer service or administrative support roles in healthcare settings. Trainees will gain hands-on experience, with on-the-job training and virtual instruction, while working in person at satellite locations such as Burlington, Needham, Waltham and Weymouth.

The program provides mentorship, coaching for six months after completion, and a path toward full-time employment for successful trainees.

Qualifications

• Paid training is $16–$18 per hour for 40 hours per week.
• Program length may be 12 or 14 weeks, depending on placement.
• Training hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 100% in person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare to work in customer service or administrative support roles for patients in hospitals and clinical offices.
• Work directly with patients in hospitals and clinical offices.
• Mentorship and coaching provided for six months after program completion to support potential transition to full-time employment.
