Job summary

The Centers is seeking a Patient Support Representative to greet and register patients, verify documentation, and schedule medical, behavioral, and dental appointments. You will answer phones promptly and help maintain smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include data entry in EPIC, verifying coverage, collecting co-pays, and assisting patients with Medicaid or sliding fee applications. A strong team orientation and professional demeanor are essential in a busy health center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience interpreting health plans, verifying coverage and co-pays preferred.
• Experience with an electronic health record system (EHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receptionist duties: answer phones, direct calls, greet visitors.
• Enter/update patient and payer data in EPIC and other systems; ensure accuracy.
• Schedule appointments with Providers and maintain daily calendars.
• Gather signatures for required forms.
• Maintain patient flow and communication between patients, providers and clinic staff.
• Assist uninsured patients with Medicaid enrollment or sliding fee discount applications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
