A leading healthcare organization seeks a Patient Access Supervisor in Richmond, Virginia, to oversee department operations and staff management. This role demands operational effectiveness through coordination and supervision in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring optimal patient service and efficient scheduling. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in supervisory roles within healthcare settings along with excellent problem-solving skills.
Locations include Downtown Richmond as well as Radiology areas for our Stony Point and Short Pump locations.
The Patient Access Supervisor manages and provides operational oversight to the department/business functions of assigned area or in multiple clinic/geographic locations to ensure efficient and effective operations. This may include a combination of some or all the following: reception; insurance verification; patient scheduling; patient registration; and co-pay/co-insurance collection.
The Patient Access Supervisor supervises registration/scheduling staff. This role optimizes staff performance through coordination of workload distribution, staff reassignment, and feedback regarding expected outcomes and performance.
The Patient Access Supervisor monitors and maintains performance improvement results. This role ensures all staff exhibit patient service expectations consistently.
