Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access (On-Site) to oversee the day-to-day front-end revenue cycle and clinic support operations across locations. This role focuses on patient flow, staffing, and delivering a courteous, compliant environment.

You will train and evaluate registration staff, verify demographics and insurance, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong internal controls and adherence to University policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance.
• Orient, train, evaluate, and monitor registration staff.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Plan, organize, and schedule to meet daily volumes.
• Communicate patient flow issues to management.
• Verify patient information and explain consent and HIPAA.
• Initiate performance management to address issues.
• Support collections and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Identify process improvements for efficiency.
• Ensure internal controls and policy compliance.
