The role involves coordinating with the business office for financial counseling, maintaining EMTALA logs where applicable, and training new admissions staff. A supervisory background in healthcare admissions is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree preferable in a social services field.
• Master’s degree in social services or RN preferred; RN may be required in some states.
• 1+ year of healthcare admissions experience preferred.
• 1+ year supervisory/lead experience in healthcare admissions preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, assign, supervise, and perform duties to ensure patient safety and efficiency.
• Prioritize admissions based on patient needs and facility capacity.
• Knowledge of milieu management.
• Knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients.
• Coordinate with the business office to provide timely financial counseling.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff and foster teamwork.
• Ensure EMTALA logs are completed for admissions.
• Serve as a preceptor for new admissions staff.
• Report shift challenges to the Admissions Director.
• Maintain a professional, empathetic attitude and resolve patient complaints.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
