Martha's Vineyard Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Access Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the patient access department and manage a team of patient access representatives. The role focuses on accurate patient records and a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in patient access with supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of HIPAA and Medicare regulations, with on-site work at One

  • 3–5 years experience in healthcare patient access/registration; 1–2 years supervisory preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train patient access staff, including scheduling of patient access representatives and support staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely patient registration, including demographic and insurance information.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
  • Manage the workflow of the patient access department to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance the patient experience.
  • Collaborate with billing and insurance to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze performance reports to assess department performance and identify improvement areas.

Qualifications
Education

Associate's Degree Healthcare Administration required or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required

Experience

Experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient access and registration 3-5 years required supervisory experience 1-2 years preferred
