Trinity Health Corp. in Newton, IA, seeks an EXEMPT full-time leader for Patient Access on 1st shift at the Newton location.
The role focuses on supervision of outpatient registration points, admissions and financial counseling, while driving KPI reporting and service quality. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years’ leadership in Patient Access, plus 5 years in related areas and certification within 1 year of hire.

Organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies & governance over financials & staffing. Accountable for communication between service area functional area, RHM & Region leaders. Operational Delivery Responsible for measuring & reporting KPIs / metrics &value delivery. Providing advice, guidance & leadership for the colleague life cycle. Maintains a Working Knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.
Maintains &demonstratesknowledge to successfully supervise each functional area of the hospital including, but not limited to all outpatient registration points, emergency room registration, admissions, bed assignment & financial counseling.
Regularlymonitorsthe patient tracking system, registrationreports& financialclearance activities to ensure patients are registered within key performance standards.
Monitors all financial clearance activity ensuring all accounts are verified at time of service & meet medical necessity requirements.
Coordinatesinvestigation & appropriate resolutionof problems from patient/family or staff complaints.
Resolvespatient questionsregardingpayment requirements/charges referred by the registrars.
Provides operational guidance & support to assignedteam,disseminatespolicy/procedure updates, supportscoverage of other departmental divisions asrequired.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field of study or equivalent combination of education & / or experience.
Three (3) to Five (5) years of leadership experience within Patient Access
Five (5) years of relevant experience in functional areas of Patient Access such as Registration,
Insurance Verification/Financial Clearance, Financial Counseling, or other relevant experience.
Obtain national certification in HFMA CHFP or CRCR or NAHAM CHAM required within one (1) year of hire.
