Job summary

Harbor Health Services is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Harbor Community Health Center - Plymouth. You will deliver exceptional customer service while welcoming patients, gathering demographics and insurance data, and assisting with appointments, check-in and check-out.

You will verify insurance eligibility, explain payment options, coordinate with Financial Counselors, and support front desk operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in a community health center or healthcare setting; 3+ years preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• EPIC/OCHIN EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients and guests professionally.
• Collect and enter demographic and insurance data.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
• Collect co-pays and process patient payments.
• Ensure PCP assignment and referral requirements.
• Submit applications for HSN and SFS discounts as needed.
• Register walk-in and new patients and provide registration information.
• Refer patients to Financial Counselors for enrollment or changes.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Support front desk operations and routing of calls.
• Ensure accurate billing data in EPIC and maintain confidentiality.
