ThedaCare Medical Center – Shawano in Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to support admissions and patient registration workflows in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and prepare patient accounts while delivering compassionate customer service.

Work 24 hours per week in a 0.6 FTE with a focus on accurate data entry, clear communication, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Mansioni

• Assigns MRNs, completes medical necessity/compliance checks, collects insurance info and processes physician orders with excellent customer service.
• Operates the telephone switchboard for calls with compassionate service and adherence to policies.
• Uses quality auditing systems to ensure accounts are accurate and complete; meets audit standards.
• Pre-registers patient accounts including calling to obtain demographics, insurance and financial details, including plans and balances.
• Explains consent forms and distributes patient education documents.
• Reviews insurance eligibility in verification system and enters benefit data to support billing processes and clean claim rate.
• Screens Medicare ABN notices to inform patients of possible non-payment and distributes forms and pamphlets.
• Performs other duties including answering phones at other facilities.
