Job summary

Endeavor Health in Addison, IL is seeking a Patient Access Representative for per diem, part-time coverage. You will perform pre-registrations, registrations, order management, and cash collection for in-patient and outpatient services, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.

The role requires knowledge of health insurance processes, medical terminology, and strong data entry skills. You will interact with patients to explain revenue cycle expectations and assist with third-party eligibility

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for off-site duties.
• Experience in registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service in healthcare.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient, out-patient, ER, immediate care and same day surgery pre-registrations and registrations.
• Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources.
• Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding.
• Interact with patients to explain revenue cycle expectations and payment options.
