Job summary

Mount Carmel New Albany is seeking a part-time Patient Access/Registration professional to perform outpatient or inpatient registration and insurance verification, handling patient payments and ensuring financial requirements are met. This role supports Main Registration operations at Mount Carmel New Albany, located on Smith's Mill Road, with scheduled shifts throughout the week.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of customer service experience and familiarity with medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.
• Entry level position. Minimum one year customer service experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge is nice to have.
• Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits and secure necessary authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient focused customer service. Performs outpatient & inpatient registration & insurance verification functions; collects patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
• Location: Mount Carmel New Albany: 7333 Smith's Mill Road New Albany,OH43054
• Main Registration
• Hours: Monday 6:30a-5:00p, Thursday 4:30a-1:00p, Friday 4:30a-5:00p
• Researches, collects & analyzes information. Identifies opportunities, develops solutions, & leads through resolution.
• Collaborates on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency & patient experience.
• Responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
• Process Focus: Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials.
• Data Management & Analysis: Research & compiles information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives.
• Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides summaries including graphical presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options.
