The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative 1 to work on-site at our Palm Beach Gardens location. This role registers patients for clinical services, verifies insurance benefits, and collects payments, while ensuring patient information is accurate.

You will explain HIPAA and consent forms, assist patients with pre-visit questionnaires, schedule follow-ups, and coordinate patient flow across multiple systems to deliver a smooth, welcoming experience.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Data entry with minimal errors.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

• Registers patients and verifies insurance.
• Obtains insurance cards, driver’s license, and referrals.
• Explains HIPAA and consent forms and obtains signatures.
• Guides patients through questionnaires for physician review.
• Schedules and edits appointments and records no-shows.
• Handles cash transactions and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Answers calls and directs inquiries per protocol.
