The Addison Group is seeking a Patient Access Specialist in Omaha to support patient intake and registration. This onsite role ensures accurate scheduling, insurance verification, and financial clearance while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include scheduling, registration, insurance checks, collecting payments, and coordinating with providers within HIPAA guidelines. Familiarity with Epic or Cerner EMR systems is preferred.

Competenze

• 1–2 years of customer service or administrative experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Insurance verification and/or prior authorization experience required.
• Associate degree or healthcare certification preferred.

Location: Onsite in Omaha, NE

Pay: $17 - $22 / Hour DOE

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

Hours: Various shifts - 7p-7a, 7am-7pm or 12pm-9pm

Job Description

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for supporting the patient intake and registration process within a healthcare organization. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients and helps ensure accurate scheduling, insurance verification, registration, and financial clearance while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
• Explain financial responsibilities and payment options to patients
