Responsibilities

• Register patients and gather complete demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance using Real Time Eligibility (RTE) or payer websites and collect copays/out-of-pocket liability.
• Enter orders and confirm medical necessity for outpatient visits; interview MSPQ for Medicare patients.
• Ensure referrals and authorizations are on file as needed and adhere to privacy and regulatory standards.
• Rotate assignments across outpatient registration and Emergency Department to meet team metrics.
