The role emphasizes compassionate customer service, accuracy, and the ability to work with diverse populations in a fast-paced hospital environment, with on-site scheduling and shift specifics provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Prior scheduling or registration experience in a hospital, clinic, or physician's office is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with good spelling.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and families with registration accurately, including demographic, insurance, and liability information.
• Interact with patients of all ages in various care areas using computer and telecom systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies during registration.
• Support a high-quality, welcoming patient and family experience as a first point of contact.
