Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a patient access support specialist to assist the Patient Access Department in Columbus, GA. You will verify insurance, confirm demographics and clinical data, and help patients understand their financial responsibilities and payment options.

Responsibilities include processing payments and obtaining consents/acknowledgments on required forms. Prior Epic experience preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle or related clerical/finance/retail/customer service.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents options/requirements and processes payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
