Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford, DE is seeking a Patient Access Specialist II to perform registration and admissions, verify demographics, insurance and authorizations, and support revenue cycle efficiency. Under supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, you will help train new staff and ensure accurate data entry and compliance.

The role requires at least two years in a healthcare patient-facing role, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, handle cash, and work

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare patient-facing role.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Business Administration Related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with training as needed.
• Assist peers with more complicated and complex functions.
• Completes direct admissions as needed.
• Review and Resolve account errors in assigned work queues.
• System(s) Super User.
• Verify demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Obtain current copies of insurance cards and photo ID.
• Secure patient signatures for required forms.
• Assist with scheduling referrals and appointments as needed.
