Job summary

Baptist ED North in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient access team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, and involves registering patients, using multiple systems, and supporting access services across departments.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of customer service, healthcare, and insurance experience, plus a High School Diploma. Compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience required
• 1-2 years Insurance experience required

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
