Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join the Patient Access team. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm at South - Main Building.

You will register patients, use multiple systems, cross-train across access areas, uphold HIPAA and EMTALA requirements, and help meet annual PAS goals. A strong customer service and healthcare background is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required.
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred.
• 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred.
• High School Diploma Required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
