Job summary

Huntington Health in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Patient Access Representative to deliver a welcoming patient experience across Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Services. The PAR I will assist with scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance and registrations, while verifying insurance and collecting patient payments.

You will cross-train to support roles in revenue cycle activities, including referrals, authorizations and financial counseling in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year Customer Service experience required.
• Healthcare experience in registration, scheduling, authorizations, call center and/or revenue cycle related roles preferred.
• Typing 35 wpm required.
• Must pass competency tests and demonstrate communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and pre-registration for patients.
• Perform financial clearance and insurance verification.
• Provide patient estimates and determine patient liability.
• Assist with referrals and authorizations as needed.
• Register patients on arrival and manage patient flow at the front desk.
