Job summary

Huntington Health in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to deliver a welcoming patient experience while facilitating access to care in Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency services.

The role supports scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance, referrals, authorizations, and financial counseling. Requires high school diploma; 1 year of customer service; healthcare experience preferred; hours are Days, full-time at 100 W California Blvd, Pasadena.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree/College Diploma in Hospital Administration or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Customer Service experience required.
• Healthcare experience in registration, scheduling, authorizations, call center and/or revenue cycle related roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and pre-registration for patients.
• Handle financial clearance, authorizations, referrals and scheduling tasks.
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine patient liability; provide patient estimates.
• Collect co-pays and cash deposits as needed; register patients upon arrival.
