Qualifications

• Two years of hospital or customer service experience.
• Proficient typing/keyboard skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters data accurately and timely.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information and enters it with high accuracy.
• Explains required forms to patient/guarantor and collects signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity by obtaining data and communicating with patient/guarantor.
• Protects facility finances by collecting liability and arranging payments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and required notifications/authorizations.
• Posts payments and generates patient receipts in the system.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, staff, insurers and patients; documents thoroughly.
• Adheres to policies, time management, and quality standards; supports budgeted goals.
