• Enter patient demographics and use department applications for eligibility and authorization.
• Assess patient financial responsibility and collect co-pays and deductibles at admission.
• Inform patients and families about hospital payment policies and funding sources.
• Obtain and document funding information and provide information on available funding resources.
• Explore eligibility using payer resources and initiate third-party referrals for assistance.
• Collaborate with revenue cycle to identify and resolve issues and barriers.
• Enter fiscally related information into databases and maintain records.
• Respond to inquiries about patient access processes and patient problems.
