Job summary

UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Bel Air in Bel Air, MD is seeking a Patient Access Representative I, PRN to support scheduling, registration, pre-admission processing, wayfinding, and financial clearance.

You will attend hospital orientation in the first week and perform admissions, registrations, and related data entry across multiple clinics, with emphasis on accurate patient information and insurance verification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AAHAM/NAHAM certifications preferred.
• 1 year of clerical/customer service experience, healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for patients and visitors with focus on customer service.
• Verify demographics and insurance, provide cost estimates and secure pre-certifications.
• Assist with registration, admission and discharge workflows across clinics.
