Job summary

Atlantic Health's Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative I - Per Diem. The role handles patient registration, information collection, insurance tasks, and post-care account resolution while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will interact with patients, providers, payers, and other stakeholders; responsibilities include verifying information, collecting co-payments, posting dues, and supporting claims processes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift more than 25lbs if needed.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferably EPIC.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Patient Access, Medical Office, Health Insurance or relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Initial point of contact for patient and family experience within the health system.
• Secure accurate patient information for registration and billing.
• Interpret and communicate patient responsibility and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Post dues collected and data entry or charge codes in the financial system.
