Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Access Associate I to join our health system team in New Jersey. The role involves pre-registration, registration, admissions, and financial counseling to maximize patient payments and ensure accurate patient data.

Under eight weeks of training, you will work with the Patient Access leadership team to deliver high-quality customer service, verify insurance information, and assist patients with billing questions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year experience in Healthcare registration or relevant customer service environment.
• Previous experience in a physicians' office or hospital setting is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient pre-registration, registration, admissions, and financial assistance processing.
• Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Communicate with payers, physicians, and service lines to resolve issues.
• Document activity in patient accounts and maintain accurate records.
• Support training and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes.
