Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Access Associate I to join our team. You will be the first point of contact at entry points across the health system, delivering exceptional customer service while verifying patient information and preparing accounts for billing.

Under an eight-week training program, you will learn to handle pre-registration, registration, and financial counseling, ensuring accurate demographics, insurance data, and eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 year experience in Healthcare registration or relevant customer service environment.
• Preferred: experience in a physician's office or hospital setting.
• Knowledge of general computer and data entry functions.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient pre-registration, registration, admissions and financial counseling processing.
• Verify insurance information and determine eligibility and benefits.
• Communicate with payors and providers to obtain authorizations and referrals.
• Maintain accurate patient accounts, post payments, and support revenue cycle activities.
