Beartooth Billings Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Specialist I in Red Lodge, MT to greet and register patients, collect demographic and insurance data, and schedule appointments. You will also process lab orders and other services while handling co-pays to support revenue cycle.

The role requires strong customer service and accurate data entry, with potential to float to ER and rehab units to improve patient flow. This is a full-time, on-site clerical position.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college or healthcare focused classes preferred such as medical terminology or medical office practices.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Purpose/Distinguishing Characteristics

Patient Access Specialists are instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective flow of patient access needs throughout Beartooth Billings Clinic. Responsible for greeting and registering patients, gathering appropriate demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, ordering laboratory tests and ancillary services and the collection of co-payments. Position must fully understand the ramification and impact of incomplete or inaccurate information to revenue cycle. Will float to other areas within the facility to include acute care/emergency room and rehabilitation services to assist with patient flow.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college or healthcare focused classes preferred such as medical terminology, medical office practices, etc.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills
