Job summary

Conway-Medical-Center is seeking a Patient Access Specialist I to check-in patients, verify demographic data, and ensure correct accounts are used for visits. You will present required forms, obtain signatures, and process registrations in a fast-paced medical setting.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and proficient PC use. Healthcare experience and terminology knowledge are preferred, with on-site work at our Conway facility.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service/administrative clerical experience.
• One year of patient registration in a medical setting preferred.
• Medical Terminology certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and accompanying family members and provide exemplary customer service.
• Accurately identify the appropriate account for patient visit and educate patients on required forms.
• Complete all check-in files and manage processes for the patient visit.
• Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due.
• Utilize strong organizational skills effectively.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills.
• Display exemplary core customer service skills.
• Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.

The Patient Access Specialist I (PAS I) will check-in patients upon arrival, identify correct patient information in Hospital Systems, verify patient demographic data, and edit as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma required.

Experience

Two (2) years previous customer service/administrative clerical experience required.

One (1) year experience in patient registration in a medical environment preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Medical Terminology certification or equivalent preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
• Accurately identify the appropriate account for patient visit and will present and educate patients on required forms and obtain signature as required by policy and procedure.
• Complete all check-in files and manage all appropriate processes specific to the patient and their visit.
• Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due.
• Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
• Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.
• Display exemplary core customer service skills.
• Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.
