Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in healthcare registration or patient access preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (Medicare/Medicaid/commercial) helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-focused customer service to patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff.
• Perform inpatient and/or outpatient registration with accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, pre-certifications, and authorizations.
• Explain financial responsibility, including copays, deductibles, and self-pay estimates, clearly and compassionately.
• Collect patient payments at time of service per organizational policies.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and payer requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in registration systems.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to patient access and financial clearance.
