Father Joe's Villages is seeking a Customer Service–oriented Patient Service Representative at the Village Health Center in San Diego, CA. The role involves greeting patients, registering information in the EHR, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and assisting with eligibility.

The level may be I or II based on qualifications, with responsibilities expanding accordingly. A strong commitment to compassionate, dignified care is essential in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system required; EPIC preferred.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients and visitors as the first contact at Village Health Center.
• Register patients and maintain demographic, insurance, and eligibility data in the EHR.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments to support clinic operations.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with required documentation.
• Screen for sliding fee eligibility and collect payments per procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA and policy.
