Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet and assist patients and families across our facilities in northern Michigan, including Charlevoix.

You will register patients, verify information, and guide them to testing and surgical areas with courtesy, while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards. Shifts run 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with rotation and every other weekend. Vaccination or verified immunity is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.
• Two years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or business-related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas.
• Register patients by obtaining and verifying information in the registration system.
• Explain procedures and hospital environment with courtesy and clarity.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical information and keep work area stocked.
• Assist with department communications and implement changes to information collection.
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and provide required training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by PAS leadership.
