Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a Patient Access support specialist to assist the Patient Access Department. You will ensure patient accounts have valid insurance, accurate demographics, and current clinical data while helping patients understand financial responsibility.

Responsibilities include presenting payment options, processing payments, securing consent on required forms, and supporting revenue cycle activities in a patient-facing role within the Piedmont system.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle, or a clinical role, or related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service.
• 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
• Prior Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
